DESCRIPTION
This course provides the learner with an introduction to the principles of insurance. It will go through each of the six principles and how they apply to our insurance roles. For those wishing to have a more in-depth knowledge you may wish to consider the intermediate course.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- Describe the six principles of insurance
- Explain what action the insurer may take if utmost good faith is breached
- Understand the implications of the Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Act
- Explain how the principles relate to your day to day work
